Robert's Music Bio

As a teen, I was a big fan of The Beatles, and formed a rock band with my best friends. In my early 20’s I was writing songs for my church youth group, and then was a music minister for some 20 years and composed 13 church musicals for children, youth, adult and senior adult choirs. Along the way, I earned my music degree and later did graduate work. For many of my musicals I went into a studio and recorded them with professional musicians. Now I’m writing praise and worship music, arranging and recording it in my home studio, and releasing it from my Robert B. Robinson Praise Band. The voices on the studio recordings are real, sampled voices from the DreamTonics company.

HIGH SCHOOL DAYS

In high school, played rhythm and lead guitar in a band named The Filaments. We were essentially a Beatles cover band, but we also played some Top-40.

In the summer of 1968 as a recent high school graduate, I participated in a city-wide presentation of the first church youth musical, “Good News,” playing guitar and singing.
